Refreshing Dimensions

I learned the hard way that if you fully process a dimension that the associated cubes are then invalid and must be processed.

Beginning OLAP

I recently was hired by a company to manage their OLAP databases. I have only managed OLTP databases in a very unique environment for the Veterans Administration.

So, when I started working for my current company I was excited about the new experience but a little nervous about what was going to be expected of me.

So, as I have encountered problems, learning curves, etc. I thought I would share my experiences with the world and hopefully help someone else who is starting out in the "World of SQL Server Analysis Services"
